A longs time ago, all the dogs did agree dat no dog would be takin too many Noms for theyselves in order to protect the value of every dog's Nom....

Ello for you. Peeple wot be followin the blog for a while now do probbly remember the Great Fridge Raid...well...I haz good new for fans of the animals wot perppytrated that crime (*which do not be me for legal reasons)...it haz appended again...

Reconstrukshun of likley events

....mum came ome the other day to find that pakkits of butter, parmyzan cheez and bacon ave been liberated from the fridge an scoffed....I (as investygatin officer) ave asked for proofs that these items ave been removed from the fridge cos we do kno that the typist do not like to see the fridge fillied up wiv useless foodstuffs..

All food groups represented...if you is a alkyholic fish

....mum do be allegin that me an Lola ave been up insides the fridge lookin for our noms....

Haz got no label on it....must be mine...

....and i do arsk her whch of us is likley to ave had the tiny paws needed to open the locks and climbs into the narrow spaces provided for food storage...

Lola much smaller than me....faces changed to protect suspects (*Lola)

...and I has suggested to magystrates that it iz more likley some local ruffians be in there....

...anyway...whoever dunnit didnt get away wiv much cos there was two vomits by the back door containin most of the missin foods...it look as if Italian dog been in lookin for ingredianets to make a nice carbonara...also there was a little pakkit of salad in our bed...which only prove it do not be me cos who would be so stoopids as to leev evvydence in his own beds...(*Lola).

All in all I fink we has ~~got away wiv it~~ not found snuff clues for convikshun...

Ello for you. As many of you do kno, I did ave anuvver turn on Christmas Day and we did spend alf of the day in the hospital when my breevin got out of control. We did got to the emergencee vets and I did see my pal Megan and her border terrier Gaucho. They did look after me very well and I be fine ever since. We see the cardiganologist a cupple of days later and he did say me was probably caused by my meddysin lowering my blood pressure so we has just changed my tabblits. Fanks for all dem wot send me nice messages. I do preesheeate em all.

So...we did spend sum of Chrismuss openin I presents....after Santa had been ~~down the chimernee~~ in fru da kitchen door....

...and on the Boxing day it was mainly napping for me as a result of a night of medical intervenshuns...

They is very clever dawgs and I do see em sometimes in town elpin to raise munnee for the Ceilia Cross Greyhound Trust .....

Ello for you. As many of you do kno, the typist has been runnin 1,000 miles for Dogs Trust in 2011. He did start runnin on New Years Day and on Christmas Day he set off on da very final and last mile....for reasons I dussnt understand he did decide to take Lola wiv him...

For the last few days, Lola has been itchy and then I did get itchy too and we started to haz spots appearin on us wot look like chikkin pox...

...so we is goin to the vets again (now tradin under the name of Marley's Veterinary Emporium)...and she be sayin me we might haz bacterial infekshuns wot we haz picked up from somewhere.....and she is givin mum some meddysin but she is whisperin behind her paws wot sort of meddysin it do be...we take it ome and then I is lead upstairs where I do find this in the baffroom...

I fink we can all agree that Maggie do be quite the beauty…(way out of my leeg *sigh*)…and my pal Janine at the ome do say she does be appy to gib you kisses and is waggin her tails all the time…Janine also say me that in the offis, and in a ome environment, she is the friendliest cutest fing, always a big smile on her face and very playful….As you can see from her pishures tummy rubbins are a favrit….

no young children, no dogs, no small animals or cats. Maggie do be a bit unsure bowt uvver dogs and is barkin at em…

Very, very secure ome and gardin -Fort Knox or similar would be good cos Maggie like to do escaping. Mebbe a flat would be good cos then when she go out for doin her bizniss she be on a lead and not be gallopin away..

somewun to continue her training – she ave no recall and is strong on da lead and needs to continue her socialisayshun. If they live close then she can work for free with the BCDH behaviour team even after bein adopted.

A eggsperienced dog owner who won’t be fazed by any of this, preferablee experienced wiv terriers/patterdales.

Now that I am allowed out again we is tryin some walks but I duz only be allowed to do short uns until Dr Simon ave checked me out one more time. So....we decide on Satday that we would ave a little bimble up in da woods behind the ouse where we do go all the time...

I may ave dodgy eart but i too quick for you

.....and the sun was shinin and the leevs was on the ground makin everywhere very Autumnal and i was appy trundlin along sniffin everywhere and mindin my own biziness and not finkin bowt too much...when just then nature decide to surprise us wiv some magic trees...

....and we stop and look at the magic trees cos we fort they might be alive or on the march like the woods in Lord of the Rings....

yup, sunshines ere too

....and we did go into the field where the farmer be normally ploughin and fings and the sun was shinin there too and everywun was takin off their coats and talkin bowt ow ot it was for November...but these fings is beyond the forts of Farmer Marley....

....as i was too bizee checkin out my crops to see if they was gonna grow into sumfing nice for makin bread wiv (wot you can use to make bacon sammidges...dont menshun it....is all part of the serviss)...it was a very nice walk and we did enjoy avin the sun on our backs for alf hour.....we enjoyed it so much that we did decide to go out again on Sunday....but on Sunday the ole werld was covered in fog! Huh? Where did our sun go?

....but we decided to drive to Headley Heath and see many of our old pals who do go walkin there....but it was a funny mornin and the landscape was spookly....

I know I duz be feelin much better and I be in good ands at NDSR where all the vets and nurses and other staff is very kind and be lookin after my like royaltee. I say ello for them...

Ello for you. It do be me, Marlee. I ope you dint forget about me juss cos I wasn't here for quite a long time. I am ere a bit now by accident really cos it has been a bit of a dramatic week for me.

On Sunday, we did go and see our pals Pam, Tony, Nirav, Ishaan and Sahin in Harpenden. They haz been our friends since Willium was born almost 14 years ago. We did go on a pawsome walk wiv dem by the river but mum was worried that I was lookin a bit slow an draggin behind everywun. Owever, I am quite well known for this and dad just ang about at the back wiv me and encourage me along. He did notis I was stoppin a lot and sniffin the airs wiv my snout. So far, no dramas.

We did leave Arpenden and got ome bout 7 o'clock and I was nappin on the sofa wiv dad and he notiss that I was pantin a bit but he dint fink nuffin of it. We lied about wotchin telly until bout 9 o'clocks and then they was startin to get worried cos I was still pantin and stickin my snout up in the air and sniffin. Eventually mum decide enuff is enuff and she call the ermergency vet line and they did say me to come to mergency vet in East Molesey, wot be bout 10 miles away from our ouse.

At dis point all hell break loose and peeple is rushin about and stuffin the familee in the car and dad conduct high-speed dash across the county. Fankfully, it was Sunday night and there wuz no one on the roads excpet for some slow coaches who do soon see our rescue mobile flyin past.

We got to East Molesey Vets at bout 10.30 and who do you fink was waitin to greet me at the door?

Yup, they haz a border terrier to greet their payshunts. He was called Gaucho and seein him did cheer up the familee no end. I was taked away by the vet and when she did come back she say me that I haz a lot of flooids on my lungs and a heart that was racin too farst and I need urgent meddysin so I haz to stop over night. While she was doin some tests on me Gaucho did keep everywun entertained...

In the mornin, the familee come back and the nice lady vet, who be called Megan I fink, say that I haz had meddysin to take away flooids from the lungs but she dussnt yet kno the cause - is mebbe eart disease, newmonia or other fings. Owever, she dint be able to treat my racin eart cos she was worried bout lungworms and the eart meddysin might not have been good wiv dat too. She send me on my way wiv the familee to Ashtead to see our usual vet at the marvellous Ashtead vets...they is always so nice to me there.....

They did say me I seem stable and the other ospital done all the right fings but I needs to go and see sumfing called a cardiologist at a speshul ospital for chekkin out my eart cos it do not be lookin good so I am soon on my way to a pawsome vet ospital wot be called North Downs Specialist Referrals where they haz many clever vets....and they duz be givin me a MRI scan to see wot be the problem wiv me....

...and the nice man, Simon, do say me I has a problem wiv my eart wot be called mycardial valve stenonsis....wot in English mean that one the bits of my eart do not werk propply and is not lettin enuff blood fru but I haz been born wiv it. This do not sound like good news to me. But then he say me that he haz also find sumfing else....I haz swallowed sumfing and I needs a operayshun to get it out of me and probbly in swallowin it the fing has mebbe scraped on my eart as it goin past and this is wot has made my eart go all racey and unwell....can you guess wot is the fing I haz swallowed?....

Yup, I haz swallowed a toy dinosore wot be ard an plastic and pointy. We dussn't know ow I haz done this cos I do not be a chewer and it do not be one of ower toys. We fink mebbe I haz found it in the park and eated it....but no one do explains how I has swallowed it ole (it haz no teef marks in it). Lola did not take the news well...

....so Simon the Cardiganologist do say me I haz to stay in the ospital and ave the operayshun cos my eart is under controls wiv all the meddysin and he dussnt fink there be extra risks for surgery cos of my condishun. So I is avin the op but I dussnt be that appy bout it...cos it be my third op in a year after avin my teef done an also my cataracts in January

The familee is very worried bout me and I see they duz be close to tears but also they is finkin the doctors and nurses do all seem very nice and they kno the operayshun is the only fing to do cos the dinosore is not comin out on his own and it dussnt be sensible to leave him there...in case he do grow and swallow me ole...

Not operatin in time carry its own risks...

I dussnt really remember much bout the op but I do kno all my pals is finkin bout me and dad say me that I haz undreds of nice messijs from my pals and my speshul chum little Alfie (@alfielulu) did even send me some bloons to cheers me up....

Is trooly amazin ow much peeple is followin my antics. I ope I dint worry no one too much.

I am ome now and takin it easy. I dussn't be loud to walk or run or jump for two weeks and I haz a big, bald shaved tummy wot be cold in this wevver. But my problems be only tempry ones (apart from my weak eart which we do ave to wotch now) and some doggies got bigger issues to deal wiv. That is why dad is running 1,000 miles for raisin munnee for The Dogs Trust. Lots of luvvly peeple did leave him some munee when they did read bout my plight and if anyone do want to make a donayshun then there is a linky up on da right side of dis blog or click HERE aswell. Country Club Opening Day

Ello for you. I did promiss everyone I would give you update of ow the openin day went at Marley's Border Terrier Country Club. First of all I do say fanks to the undreds of anipals and their pawsons who did take the time to stop by. We had visits from dogs, cats, rabbits, a hedgehog and at least one hamster. We did also ave a record for comments left on a blog post and a havalanche of messijs on twitter. You can read them all here...

Some folks came wiv big plans. Hamish (@hamishthewestie) told me that "i'll go swimmin & Moo wil paddle, den we wil do run, run in long grass, den nappin."...and @loopeydoops spent the day in the hydroferapy spa, which was a very popliar opshun...

Winston (@redambiegreen) did give a football marsterclarss....but i dussnt be bale to embed the viddyoh so i send you to dis link to see him in akshun....(advice on ow to embed yFrog viddyoh gratefully received)...

Smudge (@smudgeBT) was the first to try the rock climbin...

...and Brutus (@brutusthedane) was offerin to elp out the little doggies in the off-roadin sekshun by acting as look out using his big, long legs...Jess (@jesspals) did say she was going for a a lil swim in the pool and then maybe a light snack of meat. Ruffy (@ruffy_the_bt) said he was good at dressage and so he was first up on the orses...

Marffa (@marthethewestie) was very keen to join in the terrier racin and I feel sure she will be the winner..

....ooops, mum got the camera the rong way round .....but ere she is the right way up showin us her Usain Bolt impresshun in the lounge area...

I dunno if Griff & Ollie (@thegobros) knew that when they said "Dude....sign us up - terrier races followed by swimming' wiph @Dogstoyevsky"...

We had some takers for our "minority" activitees. Bertie (@diamondbertie) said "I want directions 4 the cat chasing courts, BTW do U have squirrel chasing facilities?"...and Broono (@samdavey23) was quite keen to find some ducks to chase about, which was a coincidence because my sister Islay (@issiebissy) also told me she was looking for ducks to elp her practiss her swimmin. Mebbe they should join @tedonthebed by the Lake where he is watchin the swans...

...as long as Charlee (@barneyally) haz not scared em off...

.....and I had reports from the staff that Dora (@dorabt) was heard asking Bridie (@bridietheborder) "Grate issent it. Game ov flowerpot chase? Later?"...

Hamish, my hamster chum, (@little_hamey) asked very nicely to be allowed to join and said he like "exxxercise in wheelll and sleepinnng"....so I sent him for a nap in the room where the towels was keepin warm...

Another Amish (@highlandhamish), also did send out a report late in the evening "Had a relaxing swim at @marleyterrier 's doggie spa & now getting ready to go to the Vets - have a good day my anipals "wags tail"" ...so i fink you can see he was made all relax for his vet experience....one of the many benefits we is offerin...

Murfee (@no1border) was kind enuff to point out that "all is good but dad duz need some complamentry poo bags when we waz in park he ran out and had2use crisp bag"...oh deer, we has to sort that out wiv facilitees manager I fink cos Holly @borderterrorhol) notified ground staff that "thank u leisurely stroll round the gardens, oopsie i did whoppsie .x ".......but later Murfee was on the courts and was reportin "I has been on the courts just now and got tennis balls!! hope it's not sore like grandad's tennis elbow:-)"......well we let Rox (@shasel) show im wot to do...

Many doggies were very pleased with the chillaxin opshuns and Ted (@tedonthebed) & Sergie (@sergeijugpup) liked the complimentary robes on offer...

......and Milo & Rossi (@milo_rossi) made theyselves popular by *orders pigs eers for everywun at da country club*......which was appreesheeayted by Charlotte (@charshy_pup) "om nom nom licious pigs ear, gwat afta a swim don't wury I did shake off outside Bol"...so we had to start givin noms some serious fort so I contacted my pal @ernietheborder and his clever mommy Claire (@clairetweet)and ask her to make some speshul noms...cos I did recall these fine ideas...

I know that Mr Inch (@mrinch) would ave appreciated some noms after a busy mornin potholin...

....and umpirin the crikkit teams...

Lexie (@dogstoyevsky) and Bridie (@bridietheborder) spent the day bombin in the mud pools - "comin to da mud barfs ? *splosh splosh splosh bubble - oops excoos me!" but it all ended well cos I did bump into Bridie at the Spa later...."*swans out of steam room* grate countree club my pal"...

Grissom (@grissom_walker) was the first into the shower complex....

....soon followed by Broono the Yorkie...

and Bridie (@bridietheborder) was soon complementin me on the Eau d'Wet Dog scent in the changin areas...

...Frankie (@jonesgirl_3) proved much better at agilitee than our instructors....

...and Ernie (@ernietheborder) benefitted from his guidance...

Amish (@hamsihthewestie) was so bizee he could not decide wevver he was appier swimmin...

....but I fink he decide on the beach cos Murfee was in the pool doing lengffs...

....but he had to be careful cos Hella (@hellahedgie) got stuck in the end of the water shoot...

..thankfully he was rescued and later told the receptionist that "I'm spending the rest of the summer at @marleyterrier's club! This place is the best!!".......Toby & Alfie kept out of danger in the deepend...

Sensibly, some ouf our older members was all about the nappin in the Meditation Zone....lead by Ted an Isaac (@realjoannek)...

....and Indy (@borderpup) was even found "*lying under palm tree, being waited on hand and paw"...and Olly (@ollyted) took a sensible approach for a bear and "i finks i haf my paws mannycured hehe"...and he was later overhead tellin @marshallsheldon "when yew haffin mannycure them brings cayks nd feed yew nibbles!".....so my dear pal and blog follower @pandafur told me on the quiet that "that iz a fancy country club but I izn't doing sports Iz doing spa an napz!"...which is wot appealed to Ginger & Mac (@borders2) too..

....and also Broono...

...and Berkeley (@berkeleybear) also told me "I sign up for membership. I think a deck chair and Pimms is for me... Some one have to watch all the activity too...". Quite right Berkeley...and I fink they was even wise to avoid the massage room where Indy did see Lexie in danger of bein broken by our somewhat inexperienced shiatsue ninja...

....but in case you duz be finkin we runnin unlicensed operayshun here my good pal Karen Wild (@wildpaw) celebrity dog trainer, behaviourist and writer did send along Bonnie & Pickles to be checkin out fings wiv clipboard of elf & saftey requirements...

....they give us clean bill of elf and I gib them Platinum VIP membership status..!!

One brave doggie (Monty, the bruvver of @leotheborder) even found time to try out the ice bath straight from the sauna..(click HERE if the viddyoh do not werk on your poota)...

.....whilst Mr K (@mrkiplingwoof) went for a more "interesting opshun.."just signed up for tennis ball practice followed by the spa fox poo body wrap"..... which strangely seemed to be a popular option wiv many dogs...

All in all it was so quiet that our sekurity team ad nuffing to do accordin to Murfee...

....even tho there was a lively gang who just came in to prop up the bar: @pasikas @bijntje @borderpup @stringerspaniel...!!

Some of my pals has been avin plenty of exercisin this week. Here you duz be watchin Zack playin in his tunnels practisin his agilitee..

....yuo can catch up wiv all his adventures here

.....and also my pal Mrs Magoo haz been doin some swimmin....

...so this got me finkin mebbe it was time we opened up Marley's Country Club again for the season....I is offerin free membership for the first 500 doggies and other anipals (and their pawsons of corse...) wot do be applyin by leavin a comment below or tweetin me on @marleyterrier...

For them wot is super affletic you can haz a go at terrier racin....I did this once......I was last.....cos I couldnt see the wabbit cos of my cataracts...

....and if you prefer ridin yore bike then we haz a spin class for you at 2pm every day....

....and the trooly adventuress can go wiv our fully kwalified guides up to the climbin wall at the bottom of the big field and ave a go at mountaineerin...

After you naps, we also haz a runnin club wot do meet regularly and you can swap tips and be chattin to other affleets...

...and if you is of a more hartistic bent then we have graceful gymnastiks wot you can do like the laydees in the Olympics...

After the compulsory nappin sesshun for those enjoyin full-board terms, we ave some off-road explorin for you to do in company of the STS (Speshul Terrier Serviss)....

Some of our guests, might need some elp from Zack in completin the basic agilitee corse...

....but we also haz tennis for them wot like to pass a more sedate afternoon wiv they friends...

Ello for you. I haz just got back from my oliday in Cornwall. We went for a few days....but there was no warnin...one minnit we was in the ouse and the next we was bein pushed into the car and off we go. I fink typist haz done a runner from werk. I ope someone there be countin the pennies while he was away just in case....at least we got to travel in our usual first class accomodayshun....

The first part of our oliday was very speshul indeed cos we had a very kind invitayshun to drop in on one of our bestest pals, and our first twitter follower, @diamondbertie in Exeter......

I fink I smell Devon......

This was very excitin cos we been pals for two years and never did meet before. We arrived in the mornin and did say ello...

...and NO we is not growlin at each other, we is just gibbin a sniff.....and before long I has claimed my seat on Bertie's mum's lap.....

......but I din see no evvydence of it anywhere.....so he was let off.....Before we knew it we had arrived in Rock and I got straight down to doin some kwality testin of our cottage....

Sumfing is rong wiv dat dog's brane but I dussnt diagnose it yet....anyway, typist declare that he need to clear his head and so we is goin for brekkfast in an outdoor cafe.....

Ello for you. You wot kno me kno that sumtimes we got to Derbyshire to see Granma (and Daisy the cat) but we dussnt ave been for quite a long time wot wiv one fing or another. Anyhoo, we was telled on Friday that we was goin up there for the weekend and we had better pack a sootcase quick sharp....Lola dussnt fink she ave much to pack.....

....and not much do be diffrunt when we do wake up on Saturday mornin at Granma's ouse.....

Ello for you. I fink if you haz been livin in the UK this week or followin our news then you will kno that Twitter do be subject of much discusshun. Sum peeple haz been sayin that it do not be a good fing sumtimes and is dangruss and peeple is usin it to brake the lore. [libellous section removed]

I fink sum of you wot do know me do kno that I do ave lots of border terrier pals on twitter and we do use it as a way of meetin ovver doggies and makin pals and keepin border terriers in touch wiv each other (*pendin the Rapture after which we will be takin over your fridges and other fings...)

Ello for you. I spect you haz notissed that I haz been neglectin my blog for a cupple of weeks. I do say sorry for dat and I ope you be enjoyin this story of sumwhere we did go a few weeks ago.

If you is on twitter you will know that last weekend of April was #borderfest, wot be a gatherin of border terriers in a campsite at a secret locayshun in middle of England wot only kwality peeple and dogs was invited to......and Lola...

I was burstin wiv enthusiasm for it.....

....well I was more burstin wiv enthusiasm after I had my brekkfast and we had packed all I noms into bags and we got into the car to be eadin off...

....we did get there bout lunchtime and we did mediately see our pals wot be there.....

...cos they was all sittin in big circle and chattin and someow @eddietheborder did recognise me and we did go over and say ell for him and @brunotheborder and Poppy wot be @valentineslady who was all sittin wiv they mums by the big caravan. We was very appy to meet some of our pals in the flesh but we was sad we did get so little time wiv each one and ardly got to speak wiv @valentineslady and did miss @marthethewestie completely in the hurlyburly an also I do be gibbin the typist the glare cos he was doin rubbish werk wiv da camera and we did get ardly any good fotos on the day. We pologise bout dat.

Before we left we did go and see if we could find Lexie.....but we did find her royal apartments was vacated....
