Furshion show...

Hello my friends.....my good friends @dexlit and @littlemalc from twitter are holding a fashion competition to raise money for doggie charities.....they have named it #furshion......

....they have a very professional PR campaign to launch the competition....

....and the entires have been flooding in thick and fast.....

....even Miss Lola has tried to enter with her bonnet.....

.....Peter Tosh decided he would lend his expert help to the process of choosing my outfit....here he is assessing my potential.......he worries that my ears aren't level!...cheeky...

.....he recommended a new skin-care regime.....i worry it will make my fur sticky.....

.....or that he might singe it if he gets took enthusiastic about fur-styling.....

.....he did have some helpful magazines...we looked at all of the latest fashions........

.....i saw that good accessorising is very important...so i tried out some fetching shades......

....I think Peter Tosh might have pulled off the "look" rather better than I did.....

...he showed me how to do something called "rocking a funky hat"......

......I was altogether less successful at it than him....I think baboons must have good bone structure for hats.....

...shoes are also an important part of the urban uniform.....but we didn't really have anything in my size....

...."I fink he look lie he is canoein on da river Lola"....."I finks yoo is right Peter".....

.....we wondered if this ever-so-slightly out of character jazzy shirt I found in the typist's wardrobe might be the right thing.....*rolls eyes*....

....Peter Tosh used to be a model....a hand model I think....

.....Peter Tosh says that hoodies are an essential part of street uniform.....

....but I worry that everything in this house is a size too big.....

....so we went to town....its a rather bewildering experience going to the big shops.....these all look "typist-sized".....

....these are more my size but they all appear to be a shade of terrier-orange......

...we did find a rather nice sweater in our local country shop.....(*note for mums: there were three of these in the sale in Epsom)

.....i finally found my size in Next Kids......

...but Peter Tosh and I have decided that our entry for #furshion should be a classic formal look as befits our status as high-class furs about town.......

....we wish all of the other competitors the best of luck for #furshion.....

What we do in the evening.......

....hello my friends....we try and keep ourselves busy in the evening at Border Terrier HQ.....we have started having #VinylHour.....what's this I hear you ask.....

.....well, we go to the den room with a nice book....and we put on a nice new shiny vinyl record to listen to because we like the warm sound we get from this very old-fashioned way of listening to music....this week we started with a nice book about cycling and some Bob Dylan & The Band......

.....sometimes we use the time to practice our #keepfits stretching for @henryandfriends.....but only on Thursdays......

....Miss Lola is not necessarily so keen on this part of #VinylHour.....

....particularly if she has been out patrolling the hi-ways and byways of Surrey during the day.....(this is a VERY RARE shot of her actually in contact with water....)

.....she prefers her naps in the evening....

.....we have been particularly enjoying this book recently....(yes, Typist got a lot of cycling books for Christmas...its the closest he's allowed to a bike at the moment....)

....suddenly, we found that Miss Lola had joined us in the den.....most unusual.....

.....perhaps she could smell kitten......

No!...she could smell the home made pizza that mum delivered to us for #VinylHour...(*I should just point out that this is a VERY RARE happening.....)

..."Haz a spare slice?"....

...she tried to pretend that she was not that interested in the delicious ham, spinach and egg pizza....

....but she did spend a suspiciously long time hoovering up crumbs and the smallest bit of crust that may have been "dropped" on the rug "accidentally"....

....typist and I got on with the serious job of changing LPs...(*consult Google for some of these technical terms)

....Miss Lola was not to be deterred though....she sat on the arm of the sofa like a bird in a tree....

.....and demanded belly rubs to compensate for not being allowed much pizza....all very distracting for the serious connoisseur at #VinylHour 

...we think she should stick to what she's good at....

.....i found juggling the music, the books, the pizza and the doggies all very taxing....#VinylHour is supposed to be our time to relax....

....Miss Lola has been placed on a stricter diet...SPROUTS!....(*NB: she actually loves sprouts)

.....that's how I send my evenings my friends....its good to replay...here's a relaxing shot of old Marley's spot at Headley Heath....we paid him a visit to say hello last week....
