Sporting Life

Hello my friends....we had an excite ng weekend of sport last weekend....now, as you know, we do get out on our bikes quite a bit from BT HQ and I do enjoy a week on the slopes with my skis....imagine my delight when typist told me that we had booked a late ski holiday as the snow had finally decided to appear after taking some time off over Christmas...

....so we fired up Clapton's Taxi and took off to Snow & Rock to buy some skis and boots for William...who has finally stopped growing long enough to merit his own kit.....

...here we are in Chertsey....first in the car park at 9am to be first into the queue for boot fitting...it can be quite  along affair and this means we don't have to wait all day to get served....*yaaaaawn*...

....its a big store....which means I had to drag typist out of the bike section and over to the skis so he could help.....

....maybe this year I could be a "boarder" terrier?....BOL.....(*jokes courtesy of my pal Bonnie from twitter)

....and one thing I definitely don't want this year is cold paws....these should do nicely.....as a sleeping bag....

....Willam's new boot...don't worry...we did remember to buy a pair of them.....quite snug and warm in here....

...and in the afternoon after a quick bite to eat typist and I headed off to London on the train.....SOMEONE forgot to brush my fur before we went out though.....

....we were at the legendary Twickenham Stadium to see England play Scotland at rugby.....

....before the game I advised the England coach on selection....we will field 15 @winstonwoofs.....

...we mingled with the crowds outside the West Gate.....

....we mingled with the toffs eating prawns and sipping champagne in their tailgating party in the Twickenham Village.....

....and eventually we took our seats...see how close to the pitch we are? WOW....here are the teams warming up before the match....

....I am wearing my red rose for England.....

....here are the teams in the middle of the match...which England won....and after the game I was lucky enough to shake paws with former England skipper Lewis Moody....his paws are very large....

....quite the terrier our Mr Moody.....
.....after an exciting and busy day it was nice to get home to Miss Lola at BT HQ....

The Great Not Much....

Hello my friends...i see it has been some time since we last blogged.....AGAIN.....*sigh*...it has been quite a quiet time at BT HQ these last few weeks....we have not had any exciting trips and the Colonel and I have been tied up with our day jobs....

......our good pal @jessTborder sent us these fantastic #BTPosse metal pin badges...she is sending them to all her pals who donate £10 to Border Terrier Welfare in support of her human dad's great fund-raising trip as he motorcycles all the way across Europe later this year....you can read all about his adventure HERE .....
....and best of all, Miss Jess's dad will be accompanied on his tour of 16 countries in 7 days by her mini-me....! Hurrah...

...and because you can't really see our badges very well there here is our pal @arigold modelling his...

...and while we are talking about fundraising......our other pal @redcharliebt is also doing amazing fundraising work for Border Terrier Welfare and you can see his fundraising page and read about his dad's adventures HERE ....it would be super if you could dig out a few pennies to support them if you have not already done so......and of course new members of the #BTposse keep donating to BTW when they get their members badge and welcome pack....AAAAAANNNND...of course we have all the money raised from the sale of the calendar...which was an amazing £4,000 this year and was handed over to BTW at Crufts last weekend....hurrah!!

...we are so grateful to Miss Helen and all at Feelwells for their hard work and support to get the calendar out to posse members and for arranging the presentation...and of course thanks to the great calendar committee who designed and arranged the calendar.....

...it makes me very proud to see old Marley's signature there on that cheque...we salute all members of the #BTposse who have contributed to all of the great fundraising efforts which have gone on this year....

.....Miss Lola has been keeping an eye on the neighbourhood while all this has been going on.....

....I joined her for a walk one morning in the last of the snow....brrrr...

....but mostly i have been out in Clapton's Taxi....here I am at Wickes picking up a delivery of home supplies for one regular customer (*mum)....

...the Colonel and I have held several HQ meetings.....

....we have finalised the napping rota.....

....we have brewed espresso.....

...and i frothed the milk to add to it.....

...Miss Lola has kept an eye on the garden....

...she likes to keep it clear of intruders so that she has plenty of space in which to eat her tripe sticks....no one must come near while this is happening....

...the Colonel and I assisted the typist at #VinylHour....

....we have made the best of the spring sunshine....

...and the Colonel has snoopervised our tweeting.....

.....i accompanied Miss Lola to the heath.....

....we found some nice places to sit and watch the world go by....

...who are you sniffing?....

....we played hide & seek....

....Miss Lola's camouflage was rather too good....can you see her?

...here she comes.....

...YIKES!....is that a Komodo dragon?....oh...phew...just just a log....

...Miss Lola has demanded some attention....

...and waited patiently for dinner to be served....

...ho hum....told you not much had been going on...oh well...at least you have all been busy.....
