Return of the King(s)

Hello everyone. We are back from our holiday in Cornwall. I was a good boy and helped mummy pack...

We drove all the way there in one day and Lola and I looked at the world going by from our crate in the back of the car. We stopped a bit here and there for food and eventually arrived at 3 pm in Polperro. It was very exciting because PP has no cars and we were able to walk about on our leads and see the hundreds of other doggies in town...

To keep us company, but mostly for William, we took Cashew, Little Ted and Little Bear with us...

The weather may not have been the best....

...but we tried not to let it bother us...

We were on holiday with our lovely friends- Lottie, Luke and Josie and their mummmy and daddy - who were very kind and gave us cuddles and treats every day and helped to walk us with mummy, daddy and William. The children found something to keep them amused...

Best of all, they brought with them our lovely new friend, Folly, who is a labradoodle puppy...

...and she chased Lola and nibbled at her like Lola used to do to me every day. We went everywhere together and played on the beach (there are three dogs here...)

William loved the beach....but was confused about how to build sandcastles..

...so Luke cooked him up a lovely batch of snails....

My favourite bit of the holiday was daddy needin' a lie-in every day. Bark at 6am, humans get up and then let us into bed (with poor old William)...tee hee

This is how long our walk was every day...

...so sometimes we had to travel by tram to keep our paws safe...

...and to avoid too many scenes like this...

Best of all was seeing so many other dogs. There was Molly, the Collie, who was staying a few doors away, a hundred Scottie dogs and quite a few border terriers. One day we saw three great danes. Hamlet was so big he took over the whole beach and Jack was mistaken for two black labs by Daddy until he stood up and almost turned over a table in the cafe. The nice people in Polperro have so many dogs to look after that we are all allowed in the shops and cafes as long as we are good and not too noisy. Ho hum, back to ordinary life. We will miss Polperro.

  4. Just found your lovely blog through the Dogs Trust one, via another friend! Will follow it from now on, really enjoyed the Cornwall bit, used to live there for 4 years in the early 90s, remember Polperro well, will maybe get back there again one day. My Emma loves the beaches here which are quite similar.
