Summer has arrived....

Hello my dear friends....I have very exciting news to bring you this week.....

On Friday I accompanied the Typist to Wimbledon to see some tennis....as is customary for the British summer it was pouring down with rain when we set off...

....I got excited when we reached Wimbledon station until the Typist told me this was just a shopping centre....

....I was all kitted out with my tickets and access-all-areas pass....

I arrived very early and looked to see who we might be watching during the day....we were very lucky to be on No.1 court....

I made sure to visit Centre Court to ensure that a seat was being reserved for my friend @maggiemay_hem for next weekend...

...and then we retired to the lounge to wait for our friends to arrive....

I was very lucky to be inside and not out sharing the rain with the other spectators....

...it was a good job we had arrived early as there was quite a crowd jostling for seats....

...and only a few minutes late play started after lunch and we saw Mr David Ferrer win a very exciting match.....

...when it had finished I visited Murray Mound (Henman Hill) to see the crowds who had braved all the rain....

...and visited some of the outer courts to check on the Mens Doubles....

....but it seemed like each match was finishing just as I arrived....

....so I settled on having some cake and waiting for the next match....we did eventually see some tennis later in the day but it was cut short a bit by bad weather...hey ho...

....there were lots of famous people at Wimbledon...but I think they were more surprised to see me...

On Sunday I took Grandma to Chartwell, which is Where Sir WInston Churchill lived....we sat and had a cup of tea before starting our tour....

This is his sitting room...but uh oh...we were not supposed to take photos inside and I got into trouble....

This is the outside of the house....it was a very sunny day and the gardens were full of families and doggies enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon...

..this is the view from his painting studio back to the main house....

I made sure his carp were under control because I know how Miss Molly (@jackmolly3) worries about them....

On sunday we took William to see a music college and then we loafed in the garden....

...Miss Lola had to seek shade to ensure she was not fried like a bit of bacon....
...I think she found it all a bit exhausting....

  6. What an exciting weekend, lots to do and brilliantly green grass! We're not as fortunate in Iceland where June in the city was the worst one since 1995 :(

What's up with the spoon in the last pic? Been watching Matrix recently?
