Behind the Iron Curtain...

Hello my friends...another week, another trip.....this week I had to accompany the typist to Austria (briefly) and Slovakia....i made sure that I had watched all of the James Bond films and been to see Q before packing my suitcase....

.....international dog of mystery....

.....a spy cannot operate on an empty stomach...so we made sure to eat well before flight....Thai glass noodles with beef....yum....

...oh....and a spy cannot operate without being properly awake.....a nice espresso and a copy of Pro Cycling....(*a disguise)....

.....in Vienna, i was met by my local contact....its Felix Bear-Leiter from the local BIA...(Bear Intelligence Agency)

....blending in with the locals.....

....I made sure I was staying in the hotel by the big radar tower at the airport....i hope the wifi will be working....

....at the hotel, I tried not to drawer attention to myself....eh?...geddit?....

....every spy needs his rest...I thought about catching 40 winks

...but not before checking all of the emergency exits...just in case.....

....I prepared  to don a disguise in the bathroom.....

....do you recognise me?....thought not....

.....I waited patiently in the restaurant for my "bag man"...a Mr Wiener Schnitzel.....

...er....well...when in Vienna and all that....strudel, JA!.....

....and the following morning we headed off on our mission....sneaking by Bratislava in the sun.....

....the Slovaks had lots of funny equipment...I took photos in case they were important......

....this was my VERY SECRET DESTINATION...somewhere in the Slovak countryside....a series of important meetings with *nod, wink* our local field operatives.....

...after a hard day's work an agent likes to relax....where's the bubble bath?....

...I always stay at the Mikado...they do my milk shaken, not stirred...

....and they have "Agent-sized" portions.....

.....and plenty of vital high-tech gadgets I like to call "towels"....

....my escape back to the West had to be undertaken in riskily sunny conditions....I prefer to operate at night normally....
....but I think I blended in OK....
....some shopping for Miss Money-Penny on the way home....
....and finally sneaking back into the UK at a private air-strip....
....I am keeping our nation safe so others don't have to....
