Business Terrier

This week I got the chance to go on a business trip with the typist....i think he has a lot of fun going to new countries and travelling by airplanes.....

...we were at Heathrow, terminal 5 early in the morning.....I wonder what gate we need to go to? Do we have time to buy a newspaper?.....

...is that our plane? It looks tiny to me...is it big enough to fly to the Netherlands?....we did not take any pictures on the plane because the typist is a superstitious ponce person...so, the next you see of our trip is....*drum roll*...

*skip...skip...* Schipol!!....a 15 minute walk from plane to exit....*sigh*

...we caught a train from the airport to another town...and visited  a factory...here i am doing quality control on some products....a bit technical for me and not very interesting to sniff....

...now here I am on the train back to Amsterdam.....what time is it? Did we miss lunch?.....very comfy considering we were travelling second class....

...but it was raining SO HARD when we got to town that the only thing we could photo in the dark was a bike! Very Dutch.....

...i was so tired after a hard day in meetings and touring production facilities that I have to confess that I lay down for a nap and missed dinner!!....typist had a bowl of pasta and watched TV for half an hour before...ZZZZZ

...and I was only seen again in time for breakfast.....somewhere on that train we lost an hour too...has anyone seen it? It's very early here in Europe....

...back to the train station......but no sign of our train to Brussels.....

...better check the timetable....

....here's a train...but its not our one...we need the red and pink HighSpeed train....

....this is more like it....velvet seats in First Class!!...and WiFi.......

....very comfy...but what can we do?....*watches Rotterdam, and Antwerp speed past through the window*....

...there was nothing for it but to read the paper and have breakfast again at the proper time.....

...will we have time to see something in Brussels?...er....no....rushing through the station, grabbing a magazine....

...we are on the Eurostar back to London...typist claims it goes under the ocean but I don't think I believe him.....

.....Time Zone Terrier enjoys another nap......*Lille speeds past the window*....

....back at the office in London and look who was there to greet us!....I told him all about three countries in 24 hours..planes, trains and taxis....eating on the run....clocks changing the time.....oh dear....these business trips are no fun at all....I don't think I will do another one....

  1. Clapton, are you sure you are a Terrier and not a Hobbit?!? Second breakfast is very Hobbit-ish, if you ask me!

I don't know if I like these trips you call "business trips"...everything seemed so rushed. Definitely not as fun as a holiday! Glad you are home safe and sound!

  10. A day in the life of Clapton looks very exhausting. How many breakfasts can a Clapton eat in one day I ask you.

  12. My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from
PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using WordPress on a variety of websites for about
a year and am anxious about switching to another platform.
I have heard excellent things about blogengine.
net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
