E Street Terrier

On Friday Miss Lola went out for a big walk with her friend Farley who has become our neighbour...this involves and awful lot of running and tussling......

So on Saturday she was somewhat cross with being woken up by the typist for breakfast.....

She voiced her displeasure in the only way she knows how....

But it's hard to keep a good terrier down for long....she did not know that she was being photo-bombed by Duck.....

On Saturday I got to do a very exciting thing indeed. I got on the train with typist to go and see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. It was chilly and windy so we took the Hat of Comfort, which served as a useful cushion on the train while i read the ticket for clues as to what we might see....

Oh look! Here we are arriving at Wembley. The new Arch was easy to spot from the station...it's so big we can see it from the hill where we live 20 miles away!

And here I am on Wembley Way...following in the footsteps of thousands of football fans down the years...and following in the footsteps of typist who was here on 4th July 1985 (Independence Day) to see Mr Springsteen and his band before......

It was quite busy in the stadium and we were glad to have seats in the stands because that meant we were under cover and out of the rain which was forecast.....

Can you see how close I was to the stage?

We raised our paws and sang along to all the songs. You can see the full set list here and they played many of our favourite songs .....

Mr Springsteen was quite tiny so i was glad I could watch him on the large televisions....luckily they did not have them tuned to BBC1 so we did not have to suffer through The Voice....

We got home at midnight and disturbed Miss Lola so she was looking a bit sleepy still on Sunday morning....

But we had a surprise in store for her...Cousin Tilly came to visit...I dont know why she was hiding in the corner looking guilty though...

OMD! Do you think CSI Ashtead was on the hunt for paw-prints?

Phew! Miss Lola was just resting....and she was soon out in the garden watching Miss Tilly do her favourite thing....

I iz bringin it bak...frowitagainpleez.....
I hope your weekend was just as exciting as mine my friends.....

  1. I am particularly jealous of your visit to Wembley, Clapton. What's fun, is that I think I was at the same concert as the typist!
